History & Architecture
Originally constructed in two stages between 1897 and 1904, the Jewelers Building is a notable example of early 20th-century steel-frame commercial architecture. Its Beaux-Arts, Spanish Renaissance, and Classical Revival influences — highlighted by sculptural terra-cotta cladding — make it a distinctive landmark in the heart of Boston. Inside, visitors are greeted by an elegant Art Deco-style lobby that reflects the building’s rich history and craftsmanship. In January 2025, the Boston Landmarks Commission designated the Jewelers Building as an official city landmark, ensuring its historic exterior is preserved for generations.
